WELCOME TO OUR CHILDREN’S MINISTRY!
Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning, April 8, at Trinity in the Fellowship Hall and outside (weather permitting). We’ll start activity centers at 9:30 a.m. and the actual “hunt” for Easter eggs will begin at 10:15. We’ll have face painting, coloring, Easter books and cookie decorating while we get a count of how many children attend, and then hide the eggs during the activity center time. We would love for you to invite your neighbors and friends!
We will also enjoy our tradition of celebrating a Seder meal with our children during both of our Sunday School hours on Palm Sunday (which is April 9 this year). The adults of our church family are invited to join the children at whichever hour you are not already attending worship. If you would like to observe or participate in this special time, please let Robin Olschner know by April 2 so that we can make sure to be ready to welcome you that morning!
Of course, our Lenten season will culminate with a beautiful Easter Sunday on April 16! We hope that you’ll come celebrate our risen Lord that day with Sunday School and worship!
We have Sunday School at both worship hours (9 and 10:35 a.m.) on Sunday mornings. We are utilizing the Deep Blue curriculum for our children in grades 1-5, and Jerome Berryman’s Godly Play with our Preschool and Kindergarten group.
INVITING OUR CHILDREN INTO COMMUNION
This year, we are going to begin giving our children at Trinity the opportunity to rejoin their families at the end of the hour on each of the first Sundays of the month, starting with August. This is a wonderful way for our children to experience this sacrament in the context of worship with their own family and our larger church family.
To honor the breadth of developmental stages in our children’s spiritual understanding, we will have some fresh grapes available on the tray that is passed that contains the traditional bread element. Taking one grape to eat as we receive the bread can be a child’s way of responding to God’s love for them, even if they are not ready for the whole sacrament. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please don’t hesitate to call or email Robin.
Nursery Care is provided weekly for children from birth through age 2.
We always need volunteer teachers and helpers, so please contact Robin (Robin Olschner, 303-422-3656 x1002, firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in joining our Children’s Ministry team. We often find that God uses our work with the children to grow us in our own walk with Christ!
